What is
A2A (Agent-to-Agent)?

Protocols and patterns for AI agents to discover, communicate, and coordinate with each other.

Definition

Agent-to-agent protocols let AI agents talk to each other directly — discovering capabilities, exchanging messages, and coordinating tasks. Standards are still emerging in 2026 (Google's A2A, IBM's ACP), but the use case is clear: composable agentic workflows that don't require all agents to live in one app.

Example

A customer-success agent at Vendor A negotiates with a procurement agent at Vendor B, exchanging structured messages.
